    Figures for the most recent year is preliminary figures. Business R&D expenditures 2018 is an estimate of the development of the overall business sector. Estimate can not be done at a more detailed level. The definition of R&D is clarified from 2017 and forwards due to OECD recommendation. This change mean that the development from 2016 to 2017 must be interpreted with caution.
