Ghana, Morocco and Vietnam 2019 – 2022

Statistics Denmark and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on one side and the national statistical institutions in Ghana, Morocco and Vietnam on the other side have agreed to start Strategic Sector Cooperation projects.

The aim of the cooperation is to strengthen the quality of official statistics in the three countries and allow for more efficient and timely monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Improved access to high quality official statistics facilitates “good governance” by laying the basis for better policy-making and empowering citizens with knowledge and facts about the development in their country. Furthermore, independent and trustworthy statistics will support the private sector in making informed decisions regarding investments and understanding their macro-economic environment.

In 2019, Statistics Denmark and the national statistical institutions of the three countries will develop detailed project plans for the subsequent three-year projects.
