Indicators
Statistical capacity indicator for Sustainable Development Goal monitoring
Definition
The indicator measures three areas within statistical production:
- data sources (availability of data from different data sources, e.g. surveys, administrative data and geodata),
- data infrastructure (standards and methods) and
- coverage and openness (data can be accessed and used free of charge by everyone).
The UN estimates that Denmark scores 87 out of 100 for data sources (2023), 100 out of 100 for data infrastructure (2023) and 83 out of 100 for data openness (2024). Source: UN website on SDG data.
