Definition
Denmark does not produce continuous official statistics in accordance with the methodology underlying the indicator. However, according to Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) for 2024, Denmark has a very low level of corruption compared with other countries and ranks highest with a score of 90. The CPI ranks 180 countries and territories based on perceived levels of public sector corruption on a scale from 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean). On this basis, Statistics Denmark assesses that the share of individuals who have paid or been asked to pay a bribe to a public official is very low.
Denmark’s development in CPI scores is measured in the national indicator VM 16.5.1.
