12.2.2
Definition
The indicator is calculated by Statistics Denmark based on the resource footprint accounts. Resource footprint is defined as domestic material consumption measured in raw material equivalents, where raw material equivalents represent the quantity of resources globally required to produce a given good or service. The resource footprint accounts are part of Statistics Denmark’s green national accounts, and the indicator is thus in accordance with the principles of the international environmental accounting manual, SEEA 2012, published by the UN, the World Bank, the IMF, the OECD, and Eurostat.
