Agriculture, horticulture and forestry

Agriculture in Denmark is, despite its continuously declining share of the economy, the oldest and one of the largest factors in Danish exports. This area belongs to the primary sector of the economy. Most of the conditions to which Danish agriculture are subjected are decided by the EU, but there are also some areas that remain under national control. The main focus is to create a healthy and sustainable agricultural sector.


Ejerforholdene i dansk landbrug er under forandring

Antallet af traditionelle landbrug, hvor den enkelte landmand ejer og driver bedriften, har været faldende i en lang årrække, mens antallet af bedrifter med andre virksomhedsformer, såsom selskaber og interessentskaber, har været stigende. Det traditionelle landbrug er dog fortsat den mest almindelige virksomhedsform i dansk landbrug.

De bedste mælkeproducenter har overskud

Selvom mælkeproducenterne i Danmark de seneste par år har været påvirket af faldende mælkepris, dårlig økonomi og høj gæld, har nogle producenter klaret sig godt. I denne analyse undersøges, hvorfor nogle mælkeproducenter på trods af dårlige konjunkturer præsterer overskud, mens andre kører med underskud og plages af lav soliditet.

Precision agriculture 2017

More than one in six farmers use their tractor or combine with precision steering systems. The share is even higher among young farmers. Use of detailed photos from satellites and drones are still rare though. These are among the results from Statistic Denmark’s first survey of precision agriculture.
