Description:

DISCOLØN has been used for national wage statistics since 1993, thus forming the wage statistics classification of professions. DISCOLØN is a specialized DISCO, the Danish version of ISCO-88 (International Standard Classification of Occupations). The use of DISCOLØN makes it possible to compare employees with the same work function - regardless of the formal title and education of the employee.

With the 2004 version of DISCOLØN, Statistics Denmark adapted the nomenclature to ensure a good balance between the possibility of producing relevant wage statistics and the current situation in the Danish labor market.
