The sale statistics has been produced since 1939 and goes back to 1921., Statistical presentation, The , sale of alcohol and tobacco, is a yearly statistic based on the duty paid to SKAT. The statistics is split by type of goods in the first transaction stage, i.e. typically sale from producer or wholesale to retail., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, Data is retrieved from the Danish tax authorities, whom also conduct basic data validation. The data is corrected for the breweries moderation scheme prior to publication. The taxable sale is, therefore, the sale of alcohol and tobacco to the retail trade. The revenue from the taxes are recalculated to volumes on the basis of the Danish Ministry of Taxation's tax classes., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The statistic provides an overview for institutions, e.g. industry organisations and producers of the sector for production of alcohol and tobacco, and others with an interest for the subject., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The data covers the taxable sale of alcohol and tobacco. Ghana and Morocco advance in Open Data

Both countries have made significant strides in enhancing their ODIN scores., 27 May 2025 12:00 , By , Klaus Munch Haagensen, Between 2020 and 2024, both Ghana and Morocco have made significant strides in enhancing their Open Data Inventory (ODIN) scores, reflecting their commitment to data transparency and accessibility. We use ODIN as a supplementary measure to track progress in our Strategic Sector Cooperation projects and to identify new areas to work on. You can read more about our Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) projects in Ghana and Morocco here:, Ghana, Morocco, The SSCs are financed by the Danish Ministyry of Foreign Affairs.,  , Facts about ODIN, The Open Data Inventory (ODIN) is developed by Open Data Watch, an international non-profit organization dedicated to improving the availability and openness of official statistics worldwide. ODIN assesses the coverage and openness of official statistics to identify gaps, promote open data policies, and improve access to data. You can read more about ODIN here: , https://odin.opendatawatch.com/,  , Ghana, : ODIN score increased from 39 to 54, elevating its overall global rank from 143, rd, to 107, th, . Significant advancements were observed in data coverage, particularly in economic and environmental statistics. In Ghana the progress is very much related to the launch of the StatsBank -https://statsbank.statsghana.gov.gh/ which has greatly improved access to data from 2023 and onwards. Despite improvements, challenges persist in data coverage, particularly in environmental and health statistics., Morocco, : ODIN score rose from 65 to 77, moving up to the overall rank as 25, th, globally from numer 41, st, . Improvements were most profound in data openness, supported by digital transformation initiatives and enhanced dissemination platforms. While Morocco has advanced in data openness, there is a need to improve the availability of disaggregated data, especially in health, gender and food security and nutrition statistics. Although there has been efforts to improve documentation and metadata, strengthening metadata documentation even more would definitely also enhance data usability., These improvements highlight focused efforts in enhancing data coverage and openness, contributing to better-informed decision-making and governance.

Statistics based on distances or neighbourhoods

Define your own statistical areas, In addition to statistics on administrative units such as regions and municipalities, smaller units such as postcode districts, parishes or school districts, you can also get data for analyses of geographical areas that you define yourself., Statistics on an area within a certain range from a point, A typical example of such an area is an area whithiin a certain range from a point on the map. The "point" can be a shop, a hotel, a railway station or a public institution and the periphery you define as a distance, for example, in kilometres from this point., You can define the distance in three ways: , as the crow flies, along established roads, as driving time by car along established roads., Specify the statistical data you want, Once you have defined the geographical area, you can add the statistical data you want. For example, it can be as simple as the number of people in the area in a certain age group, or the number of households with children under the age of six., Find inspiration to define your geographical area, You can also define a geographical area based on other criteria, such as areas bounded by physical barriers and lines. These can be areas of the cities or the open land you demarcate by using city limits, field boundaries, edges of forests, bridges, railroads, dams, highways, roads, streets, streams, lakes and coastlines - in short, everything you perceive as a transition from one area to another., You can also deifne an area on geometric shapes, such as circles, triangles, squares, and many-sided polygons where you define the centre or the corners by geographical coordinates, buildings, addresses or the like., There are many ways to delimit an area – the only limit is your imagination! The only requirement is that the size of an area must comply with the rules of discretion, ie. we cannot disclose statistics that make it possible to identify any individual or any individual company., Prices, The price depends on both the number of areas and the variables for which you want statistical data. Standard multipliers

The multiplier experiments are carried out by changing one or a few of the exogenous variables. Then the model is simulated to calculate the effect on the endogenous variables. There is no provision for possible ties between the exogenous variables. This means that one has to be careful when interpreting the experiments as real world economic events are rarely confined to changes in one exogenous variable., All experiments expand economic activity. In some experiments the effect is temporary and in others the effect is permanent. In general, a demand shock in ADAM like an additional public purchase of goods, affects production and employment in the short run. However, in the long run a demand shock has no effect on employment. In contrast, a supply shock such as an increase in the labor force has a permanent effect on employment. This is in line with most models of a small open economy with a fixed exchange rate and a Phillips curve., There is no monetary reaction function and there is no fiscal reaction function in ADAM, which should be taken into consideration when comparing to models for other countries. Also the specific laws and rules modelled in ADAM (e.g. regulatory mechanisms in taxes and transfers) affect the comparison with other countries., ADAM multipliers - October 2015 (preliminary version), Starting with the October 2015 version, the labour supply multiplier is also calculated with increased export price elasticity in the model., The calculations are made with the model version October 2015 using the baseline lang15., ADAM multipliers - October 2014, The calculations are made with the model version October 2014 using the baseline lang14., ADAM multipliers - June 2014, From the June 2014 version and onwards, all shocks to economic policy instruments have been scaled to represent 0.1 per cent of GDP at constant prices. For multipliers on earlier model versions, the policy shock represented 1000 mill. Dkr. at constant prices., The calculations are made with the model version June 2014 using the baseline lang14., ADAM multipliers - July 2013, The calculations are made with the model version July 2013 using the baseline lang13., ADAM multipliers - October 2012, The calculations are made with the model version October 2012 using the baseline lang13., ADAM multipliers - December 2009, From the December 2009 version and onwards, two multipliers (the public purchase multiplier and the labour supply multiplier) have also been calculated under a budget constraint to illustrate the consequences of a fiscal rule., The calculations are made with the model version December 2009 using the baseline lang11.
