Target 15.9: Integrate ecosystem and biodiversity in governmental planning
By 2020, integrate ecosystem and biodiversity values into national and local planning, development processes, poverty reduction strategies and accounts.

(a) Number of countries that have established national targets in accordance with or similar to Kunming Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework Target 14 in their national biodiversity strategy and action plans and the progress reported towards these targets; and (b) integration of biodiversity into national accounting and reporting systems, defined as implementation of the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting
Definition
Sub-indicator (a) has not been achiveved as per 1. March 2026. Denmark's national biodiversity strategy is currently being revised. Consequently, at present, no national strategy exists in Denmark. Sub-indicator (b) has been achieved as Denmark has implemented SEEA Central Framework in the green national accounts that are being produced in Statistics Denmark.
