    Definition

    In Denmark, approximately 80-100 malaria cases are imported per year, and the majority are due to the falciparum malaria type in travelers returning from sub-Saharan Africa. This corresponds to approximately 1 percent per 1,000 inhabitants. Source: Statens Serum Institut
