Dansk Branchekode 2025 – The statistical classification of economic activities in Denmark 2025

DB25 is a 6-digit Danish subdivision of the EU classification of economic activities, the 4-digit NACE Rev. 2.1, which is a new version of NACE Rev. 2 from 2008. NACE Rev. 2.1 is a regional version of the United Nations’ international nomenclature, ISIC Rev. 5, which is a new version of ISIC Rev. 4 from 2008.

NACE Rev. 2.1 applies from 1 January 2025 in all EU Member States pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2023/137 amending Regulation (EC) No 1893/2006 on the statistical classification of economic activities. From 2026, most statistics published by Statistics Denmark will transition from DB07 to DB25. The final statistical domain to transition to DB25 will be the National Accounts in 2029.

Comprehensive description

Among other things, Dansk Branchekode 2025 contains detailed descriptions of what is covered by each individual activity code, as well as guidance on how to identify the correct activity code for economic activities. DB25 also describes the special aggregations used in the publication of statistics.

A precise classification of economic activities is important for researchers, analysts, students, and statisticians, among others, when segmenting economic activities and enterprises, for example in economic analyses.
