    New Pricing Model

    In 2026, Denmark's Data Portal at Statistics Denmark will introduce a new pricing model that will affect all users of Statistics Denmark’s microdata schemes – initially for new projects established in 2026., The pricing model in DDP App is closely linked to the introduction of broader projects. The logic is to offer broad, long-term projects that can be used for several activities within a defined purpose. Therefore, the price will also be based on the fact that a large part consists of fixed annual costs throughout the project’s lifetime., With the possibility of access to broader projects, changes will be introduced in the new year regarding how data are ordered, as well as adjustments to the current pricing model in Denmark's Data Portal. In the new pricing model, we are introducing “Data Packages.” Each data package includes a set of registers belonging to a specific theme, which is expressed in the title of the data package. You can see an overview of the data packages and where the individual registers belong here (in Danish)., Datapakker (pdf), You will pay for the number of data packages you are approved for and for the number of project accesses associated with each project. These elements cover the costs related to data delivery. In addition, there will be charges for special services that are ordered (such as consultancy, external data, and possible population delineations).     Denmark’s Data Safari, Denmark’s Data Safari is a function that allows you to explore the data that you can order via DDP App. This is data documentation from Statistics Denmark’s Databank of basic data and data from other sources that you can order via DDP App. You can search for registers and e.g. find information on latest reference date and next expected update. You can also search for variables and find descriptions of variables. Note that the Data safari does not give you access to data, it is simply a way for you to get an idea of the data that you can request as a user., Go to Denmark’s Data Safari, High-quality documentation, High-quality documentation is an extension of the existing documentation in Statistics Denmark, including the documentation that you can find in Denmark’s Data safari.     Hosted server

    A hosted server solution gives your institution the possibility of having your own server located at Statistics Denmark. In this way, you have the full server capacity at your disposal and leave the operational service to Statistics Denmark., Read about prices, terms and requirements to IT equipment for hosted servers (pdf, in Danish), Which operating system is included?, A hosted server gives you the chance to use operating systems, such as:, Microsoft Windows Server 2022 (or as arranged, another version) incl. licenses for both Windows Server and RDS CALs, licensed ”per user” or per device., Linux Ubuntu 24.04 Long-Term Support (LTS)., Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise (note that most hardware suppliers do not support this on server models)., Virtualisation: Vmware (e.g. vSphere, ESXi, Server, Player Plus) and Microsoft HyperV only for local execution in Statistics Denmark and only by special arrangement., You will be paying for all costs in connection with acquisition, installation, dismounting, removal, repair, service and error correction of hardware as well as software.     Full register extraction for public institutions

    Public institutions can order full register extraction for their projects – meaning all observations in the register – if they need it. This is a result of Denmark’s Data Portal wanting to give projects enhanced capabilities for running several iterations of populations, continuously quality assuring analyses and being more exploratory in data analyses., This enables the projects to:, create populations, create controls for populations created in , Denmark’s Data Portal, create sub-populations of basic data for enrichment of external populations, In the project proposal, the population must be described shortly and precisely (without technical terms, details or data specifications), and it must be documented who creates the population. We are happy to give you advice on which registers that could be necessary to order.,  , Examples of requests for full register extraction, ’The population consists of all senior-class pupils who left school between 2010 and 2020. We want to create the population ourselves.’, ’The population consists of patients with femoroacetabular impingement syndrome (FAIS) who have received hip arthroscopic treatment. Ten matching controls are created per case. We want to create the population ourselves.’, ’The population consists of all economically active persons in Denmark. We want to create the population ourselves.’, ’The population consists of pupils in primary and lower secondary school who have participated in our user satisfaction survey on public schools in Denmark.     Create association agreement and mail domains

    As an administrator, you can create association agreements for users to your institution. It is only possible to create association agreements once the institution’s email domains have been registered in DDV App (see further down the page)., How to create an association agreement for users:, Click the tab ’My overview’ on your start page. Then select the institution where the user must be created., Click the tab ‘Associated users’. To the left of ‘Associated users’, you click the ‘+’ icon., Here you can add a pre-existing user by searching for the user, select the person and then click ‘Create association agreement’. If the user does not exist, go to step 5., Subsequently, a person responsible for authorisation or a substitute must approve the association agreement. This is done at the top of the institution under ‘Association agreements pending approval’., If the user does not exist, click the button ‘New user’. You must now complete the form with the correct information. If you choose a physical token, the user cannot be associated with the project until you have received the token by mail. Please note that physical tokens are only sent to addresses in Denmark., Press ’Create association agreement’. Denmark's Data Portal approves requests for new users on all working days., Once Denmark's Data Portal has given their approval, a person responsible for authorisation or a substitute must approve the association agreement. This is done at the top of the institution under ‘Association agreements pending approval’., If the person responsible for authorisation or the substitute wants to terminate an association agreement, he or she must click ‘My overview’ followed by ‘Institutions’. Then search for the name to find the relevant user, and click the three dots next to the user’s name. Click ‘Terminate’ to terminate the association agreement., Define the institution’s email domains, The responsible for authorisation or substitute defines which email domains the institution can approve. Please ensure that you only select domains that your institution controls., How to manage which email domains the institution can approve:, Click the tab ‘My Overview’ on your start page. Then select the institution for which you need to define email domains., Click the three dots next to the institution’s name and select ‘Manage domains’., Click the ‘+’ icon next to ‘Approved email domains’., Enter the domain name in the field next to ‘Register domain’. It is not necessary to register subdomains., Users with an email address belonging to an approved domain from another institution can be associated without registering their domain under your institution. Therefore, only register domains that your institution controls.

    Publication: Green National Accounts for Denmark 2015-2016

    Statistics Denmark’s Green National Accounts highlight the link between the economy and the environment through environmental-economic accounting. The feature publication titled “Green National Accounts for Denmark 2015-2016” is the final outcome of a three-year project which has developed a full set of environmental-economic accounts for Denmark according to the principles of the international statistical standard , System of Environmental-Economic Accounting 2012 – Central Framework, ., Based on these accounts, the publication presents a broad overview of recent Danish developments and resulting pressures on the environment, as well as describing how stocks of natural resources and land cover/use has developed, and the extent to which “green” activities are part of the economy., The environmental-economic accounts are organised in 13 modules, each of which is presented in a separate chapter in the report. Furthermore, the report includes a chapter presenting a number of SDG-indicators for Denmark based on data from the accounts. A summary of the recent developments based on selected key indicators from the accounts is also presented., Some of the publication’s key findings are:, The use of renewable energy increased by 5 per cent from 2015 to 2016, Each inhabitant of Denmark created an average of two tonnes of waste in 2016, 68 per cent of which was recycled., The production of green products employed more than 71,000 people and had a 214 DKK billion turnover in 2016., Less greenhouse gases emitted per unit of GDP, The publication highlights the relationships between the economy and the environment.     Publication: Danish GDP and GNI, Sources and methods 2012

    The publication describes in detail the sources and methods used for the compilation of gross domestic product, GDP, and gross national income, GNI. It replaces the previous documentation “Danish National Accounts – Sources and Methods 2003” from 2007. With the new documentation the description of sources and methods is brought up to date and reflects the current compilation methods, international guidelines (ESA2010) and classifications. The publication follows a common structure used by all EU member states and is available in English only., The documentation uses 2012 as a reference year, but the descriptions relate to the sources and methods generally used in the compilation of final GDP., Final GDP is compiled at the most detailed level using all available relevant sources for describing the economic activity within the national accounts framework. Examples are account statistics for private enterprises, government finance statistics, household budget survey and foreign trade statistics. In order to fit all this information into one figure – GDP – an extensive amount of adjustment must be made. Also, confronting data at the detailed level reveals inconsistencies in the sources that must be overcome.
