Statistics based on distances or neighbourhoods

Define your own statistical areas, In addition to statistics on administrative units such as regions and municipalities, smaller units such as postcode districts, parishes or school districts, you can also get data for analyses of geographical areas that you define yourself., Statistics on an area within a certain range from a point, A typical example of such an area is an area whithiin a certain range from a point on the map. The "point" can be a shop, a hotel, a railway station or a public institution and the periphery you define as a distance, for example, in kilometres from this point., You can define the distance in three ways: , as the crow flies, along established roads, as driving time by car along established roads., Specify the statistical data you want, Once you have defined the geographical area, you can add the statistical data you want. For example, it can be as simple as the number of people in the area in a certain age group, or the number of households with children under the age of six., Find inspiration to define your geographical area, You can also define a geographical area based on other criteria, such as areas bounded by physical barriers and lines. These can be areas of the cities or the open land you demarcate by using city limits, field boundaries, edges of forests, bridges, railroads, dams, highways, roads, streets, streams, lakes and coastlines - in short, everything you perceive as a transition from one area to another., You can also deifne an area on geometric shapes, such as circles, triangles, squares, and many-sided polygons where you define the centre or the corners by geographical coordinates, buildings, addresses or the like., There are many ways to delimit an area – the only limit is your imagination! The only requirement is that the size of an area must comply with the rules of discretion, ie. we cannot disclose statistics that make it possible to identify any individual or any individual company., Prices, The price depends on both the number of areas and the variables for which you want statistical data. Please contact DST Consulting for a specific quotation., Contact information, DST Consulting, tel. +45 3917 3600, Allan Hansen, tel: +45 3917 3168, Related products, Statistics for the Danish national grid, Statistics based on roads and streets,

Statistics based on roads and addresses

Reach your target audience with statistics on roads and addresses, This product allows you to rank roads or streets in a particular geographical area according to where you are most likely to hit a specific audience., Get assistance selecting roads, The product is designed for those who want to reach a specific target group, for example in connection with marketing or other promotional activities. For example, if your company manufactures child bike seats, then this product will help you to only distribute advertising matter on the roads where there is a high proportion of families with at least one child under four years., Multiple options, You can rank the roads or streets in many different ways, for example after the following variables:, household income, educational level, age or sex, List of variables, Documentation - standard variables for statistics on roads and addresses, Combine information, You can also combine the different variables in order to reach exactly the target audience of your interest. Again, if you sell child bike seats at the high end of the market, you can combine the number of families with at least one child under four with a level of household income., Statistics based on roads and streets step by step, Roads are ranked based on statistics, All households are first divided into smaller groups according to the type of road where they are located and, if relevant, according to the type of house. Subsequently, households are grouped into clusters or groups of at least 400 households, which then form the basis for statistics, e.g. household income in intervals. The clusters of households can be formed in three different ways in increasing detail and thus also in precision., The level of detail is also reflected in the price. You can read more about how we create household clusters here:, How do we create clusters, Household clusters with type of housing, Household clusters without type of housing, Prices, Prices per variable vary between approx. DKK 10,000 for the simplest ranking for one municipality to approx. DKK 70,000 for the most detailed variant for the entire country. See the detailed price list here:, Pricelist_RoadsAddresses_2026 - English,  , Ordering, Please click on the button below and fill out the form. , ORDER, Please note that by ordering you accept Statistics Denmark's General Terms and Conditions of Agreements., Contact information, DST Consulting, tel: +45 3917 3600, Allan Hansen, tel: +45 3917 3168, Related products, Statistics on the Danish national grid, Staistics based on distances or neighbourhoods,

    Building statistical capacity

Statistics Denmark has participated in statistical capacity building in various countries for the past 20 years. We work closely with partner institutions and tailor advice to local needs and conditions while aspiring to international standards., Why statistics are important, A country needs statistics to describe its social, economic and environmental conditions in order to improve the lives and opportunities of its citizens. Statistics thus play an important role in planning, governing and developing societies. Statistics provide the information needed for policy-makers to make evidence-based decisions, for citizens to form opinions and hold government accountable, for businesses to make sound decisions, and for researchers to analyse society., Meeting both national and international needs for statistics, The national statistical institution plays a central role in producing official statistics. The institution must be professional and independent from the political system and have the capacity to produce impartial, relevant, reliable, timely and comparable statistics of high quality. Producing statistics for national needs as well as international monitoring of among others the Sustainable Development Goals are important tasks. This requires a competent and professional national statistical institution which is competently staffed and sufficiently funded., International cooperation, Statistics Denmark has participated in statistical capacity building in various countries for the past 20 years. We work closely with partner institutions and tailor advice to local needs and conditions while aspiring to international standards. The close cooperation with our partner ensures a high degree of ownership for the projects and creates lasting results. Our goal in capacity building is to achieve sustainable change through knowledge transfer and practical advice. Our staff transfers knowledge on the topics they work with on a daily basis. This ensures discussions on an equal level and a mutual understanding between our staff and the staff in the partner institution., Our expertise, We participate in capacity building projects in all aspects of the statistical production from data collection to processing of data to dissemination of statistics to users. We work with social, economic and business statistics. We can also build capacity on issues like quality management, administrative data sources, legislation, IT infrastructure and databases, and coordination of the national statistical system. We have experience from countries in East Europe, Caucasus, the Middle East, Central Asia, South East Asia and Africa., Financing, Our involvement in building statistical capacity is either financed by international institutions like the European Union and the World Bank or by bilateral donors. Our projects are designed in close cooperation with the partner institution and the funding agency to ensure local needs are met. , Read more on building statistical capacity (pdf),
