The statistics is used by the agricultural organizations and the Ministries (primary the Ministry of Environment and Food of Denmark) to follow the price- and volume developments and to make analyses and forecasts. Furthermore, there is a need in the industry to follow price developments. The statistics cover the need primarily to calculate value added needed for the agricultural gross factor income calculation, which is a part of the National account.
