Balance of payments - financial account

The balance of payments financial items comprise, e.g. investments from Denmark to abroad and reversely, trade in shares and bonds as well as the foreign exchange reserves in Danmark Nationalbank. The figures are compiled monthly by Danmarks Nationalbank.
While the balance of payments financial items are a statement of the movements over the period, the international investment position is a status of Denmark claims (assets) and debt (liabilities) at a given point in time.
