For a number of Danish municipalities, the area Children and staff includes information about the number of children from 0 to the age of admission to school broken down by category of care, number of employees looking after these children, as well as the calculated staff-to-child ratios, which is the number of children per category of care divided by the corresponding number of employees. The stated information concerns only municipal and self-governing institutions.
Statistics Denmark expects to gradually incorporate information from more municipalities towards the end of the summer 2017 as Statistics Denmark will be reconciling the underlying data basis with the individual municipalities.
In addition, the area Children and staff holds an overview of the number of families who receive grants for private childcare and the number of children for which the families receive grants.

Introduction
The statistics contain data for the age group 0 to the age of admission to school for Children, Staff and Staff-to-child ratios (number of children per employee) for a number of Danish municipalities as well as an overview of the number of Recipients of grants for private childcare for all Danish municipalities.
Based on data from all municipalities, the statistics also include a fully comprehensive overview of the number of families who receive grants for private childcare and the number of children for which the grants are given.
