Eigtveds Pakhus:

Eigtveds Pakhus (Eigtveds warehouse) was built in 1748-50 by the Court Master Builder Mr. Nicolai Eigtved. The owner was Asiatic Company. The building is 86 meters by 12,5 meters and made of limestone from the nearby island of Saltholm. The four storeys were meant as store rooms for the Company's articles. The five central sections of the ground floor were arranged so the public could inspect the precious and exotic goods after the ships' arrival.

Until 1976 the building served as a warehouse. Afterwards, it was decided to restore and convert Eigtveds Pakhus into meeting, conference and reception rooms for the Government.
