Component 4.1: Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices

The aim of this Component is to introduce the necessary methodologies needed to apply the HICP as used by Eurostat / European Union into the Ukrainian statistical system through identification of the most important methodological constraints as well as potential IT and work process issues related to the introduction of HICP, discussion of possible alternatives and determination of the methodology to be followed as well as development of roadmap for necessary changes.

A study visit to Statistics Denmark will be focused on studying the sources and methods in producing HICP and price index on housing market. Additionally, the SSSU experts will get familiarised with the Danish HICP¿s history, recent and desired improvements as well as with the implemented IT-solution and the Danish experiences¿ and their relevance to the Ukrainian context.
