This means, that only information for the period uptill August 2008 is included when the calculation is based on the latest calender year (For the group 1005 there are information for the periode uptill August 2008) . For the main groups 35 and 39 (field of education), the whole calender year is covered also for the last year. |

The purpose is to describe the participation of the population in adult education and continuing training
Description of Contents
The statistics describe the Danish populations participation in adult education and continuing training which means formal out-of-office courses/programs which is financed, planned and controlled by a public provider.
Statistical Concepts
Population:
All participants under adult education and continuing training which means formal out-of-office courses/programs which is financed, planned and controlled by a public provider.
Units:
i. Persons.
ii. Participants
A participant is a person on a course/program on a institution.
iii. Full-time equvivalents.
Full-time equvivalents is a measure of volume.
Variables:
The most important variables are CPR-number, education, course/program, date of beginning, date of end, volume, institution.
Classifications:
Due to classification after education as well as course/program its possible to use standard classifications as ISCED.
