The Fertility Database Statistics Denmark has established the Fertility Database to provide a basis for fertility research in Denmark. The database contains information on both women and men of fertile age resident in Denmark and also on their children. A range of information, which is collected annually, covers the education and employment situation, family and housing conditions, etc. of all adults. The Fertility Database presently covers the years 1980-96 and in the course of 2002 it will be updated up to and including the year 1999.
